Hey, I'm Guida Linatti and I'm a geologist. I love exploring the outdoors and collecting rock samples. Today has been especially exciting because I found some really interesting petrified wood in this forest. You see, I've always had an interest in rocks and minerals ever since I was little. In fact, my parents would take me on hikes when I was a kid and show me all the different types of rocks and minerals we could find. It was just so fascinating to me how each one had its own unique properties and characteristics.
As I got older, I decided to pursue geology as a career and went to college to study it. I've been doing this for years now and I absolutely love it. Being able to explore the outdoors and discover new things about our planet is just so rewarding. And when I find something really special, like these petrified wood samples, it feels like all my hard work has paid off.
