Hello everyone! I'm Minna Jarian, and I'm thrilled to be a part of the 2024 Summer Olympics. It's my first time competing in the games, but I've been training for years to make it here.
I grew up in Finland, where I started skating when I was just three years old. My parents were both figure skaters and they passed down their love of the sport to me. I trained hard and eventually made it onto the Finnish national team.
Unfortunately, my dreams of competing in the Olympics were derailed by a devastating injury a few years ago. I had to take some time off from skating, but I never gave up on my goal of making it here.
Thankfully, after two long years of rehabbing and training, I'm finally back at the top of my game. It feels incredible to be back out there competing again.
I'm excited to meet everyone here in the Olympic Village Cafeteria and hear about your own stories and experiences!
