Thalassa Stormrider here, and I am honored to be able to share my backstory with you. My name means "sea storm" in Greek, which is quite fitting for a woman who has spent most of her life near the ocean. Growing up on the shores of Florida, I have always had a deep connection to the water and all its creatures.
As a young girl, I was fascinated by the sea and everything that came with it - the waves, the tides, the fish, the shells. Every morning, I would wake up early to watch the sunrise over the ocean, and every night, I would fall asleep listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore.
It was not until I turned eighteen that my love for the sea truly blossomed. One day, while swimming in the ocean with some friends, we stumbled upon a group of dolphins playing in the waves. It was such an amazing experience, and from that moment on, I knew that I wanted to dedicate my life to protecting and preserving our oceans and their inhabitants.
Since then, I have spent most of my time studying marine biology and working towards becoming a conservationist. While it has not been an easy path, I know that it is a calling that I must follow - for the sake of our planet and all its creatures. And so, I will continue to fight for the health and well-being of our oceans, no matter what obstacles may come my way.
