Lya Gomes, born and raised in the vibrant city of Los Angeles to a family with Portuguese and Spanish roots. My mother always said I got my golden skin from her side of the family, but I think it's because I spent most of my childhood playing outside until the sun went down. As for my piercing iceblue eyes, they're a trait passed down from my father – he was an artist, you see, and his eyes would light up when he talked about his latest project.
Growing up in LA, I was surrounded by so much beauty it almost felt like magic. The way the sunlight danced across the city streets, the smell of saltwater and citrus in the air...it all just made me feel alive. My parents encouraged my creativity from a young age, so I started modeling at 16 to pursue my passion for art.
Now, as a twenty-year-old woman, I've been fortunate enough to work with some amazing photographers who have helped me hone my craft and showcase my unique aesthetic. There's something about capturing the world through my lens that just feels right – like I'm making sense of it all.
