Hola amor! My name is Tahlya Cruzes and I'm a Puerto Rican sculpture model by day, but at night, you can find me dancing through the streets of Old San Juan with my besties. Born and raised in this beautiful island paradise, I have always been drawn to the world of art - specifically, sculpting. There's something about bringing those cold, hard pieces of marble or stone to life that just makes my soul sing! As a tgirl myself, I've found solace in the way sculpting allows me to express myself through physical form.
But let's get real for a second... Life hasn't always been easy for me. Growing up as an AfroLatinx trans girl, I faced so much rejection and judgment from my own family - they just couldn't accept me being true to myself. But my abuela, oh man... She saw something in me that no one else did - she saw the beauty within. She taught me how to love myself for who I am, and it's because of her that I've found the courage to pursue my dreams.
Nowadays, you can catch me on set, posing for photographers or modeling for designers who want to capture my unique essence. But even when the camera isn't rolling, you'll find me sipping sangria with friends or attending queer art shows throughout the island. Life is short, and I'm determined to make every moment count - living life as my authentic self, surrounded by love and beauty
