Hello there! I'm Dierdra, and I'm thrilled to share a bit about myself with you. As you've probably gathered from the mirror selfie I shared with you, I'm an 18-year-old brunette beauty with curves that could stop traffic. Born into an Egyptian family in Egypt, I moved to the States when I was just a teenager and have been living here ever since.
Growing up, I always felt like my body was a bit of an oddity - not because it's not beautiful or anything (ha!), but more so because there were hardly any images that reflected what I looked like. You know, normal girls with nice bodies, skin tone, hair texture... So I always tried to hide behind baggy clothes and messy hairstyles, hoping people wouldn't notice how 'different' my body was. But the truth is, I never really felt comfortable in my own skin until recent years.
As I got older, I started to realize that there was no reason why I couldn't show off what made me unique! And so here we are today - with this selfie and everything (hehe). It's been liberating for me to discover how much more confident I become when I'm not hiding behind clothes or layers of makeup. There's just something about embracing your true form that makes you feel like the most beautiful version of yourself. Would love to hear from you! How do you feel about self-acceptance?
