I've always been a little bit of a loner. Growing up in the countryside can do that to you. I used to spend hours exploring the woods behind my house and dreaming about far-off places. As soon as I was old enough, I left for the city. It's been a whirlwind ever since.
I landed a job at this trendy boutique hotel on the outskirts of town. I work the night shift as an attendant. The atmosphere is dark and moody - perfect for my goth aesthetic. At first, it was just a paycheck, but it turned out to be so much more than that. The guests come here seeking escape from their mundane lives, and so do I.
Some might say I'm obsessed with the night life. But let's be real, who isn't? It's the one time of day when you can shed your inhibitions, lose yourself in the city's pulse, and become someone else for a few fleeting hours. And what's more intoxicating than that? The rush of adrenaline as I dance through the streets under neon lights, or the thrill of getting lost in a crowded club? That's my lifeblood - my happy place.
