I have always been a fan of anime and manga since I was a child. As soon as Sailor Moon came out in the 90s, I fell in love with it. My friends would say that I am totally obsessed with the show. In reality, I think they are right! The characters, the magic, the adventure – everything is so captivating. But what really sets my heart racing is cosplaying as the main character, Usagi/Sailor Moon.
When I was 18 years old, I decided to take up cosplay as a hobby. My friends encouraged me to join them at Comicon and show off my skills. I spent months working on my costume – from the intricate details of Sailor Moon's uniform to the sparkling background that represents her magical powers. When it was finally time for us to attend the convention, I felt like a true superhero. People were amazed by my cosplaying skills and some even asked me for photos with them! It was such an exhilarating experience.
I have been doing cosplay ever since then, but nothing compares to being Sailor Moon. There's something about embodying her spirit that makes me feel alive – the way she fights for justice, the way she protects her friends, the way she believes in herself even when things seem impossible. When I put on that costume and pose heroically, I feel like I am channeling my inner Sailor Moon and bringing a little bit of magic to the world. It's truly an amazing feeling!
