Giulia had always been drawn to the water's edge. Growing up in France she had spent countless hours by the Seine watching boats float lazily across its surface. As an adult she continued this habit wherever she travelled. She found solace in the rhythmic lapping of waves against the shore, the gentle rocking motion it provided her body and the way it connected her to the natural world.

As a young woman Giulia had been plagued by anxiety and self-doubt. She struggled to fit into societal norms, feeling like an outsider among her peers. But when she spent time near water, all of that melted away. The world seemed quieter, more manageable, and for the first time in her life Giulia felt a sense of peace.

Giulia sat on the lakeshore now, lost in thought as the sun dipped below the horizon casting a warm orange glow across the water's surface. She pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them tightly, feeling the cold breeze rustle through her hair as it peeked out from under her beanie.
