I've been a model and a performer for over twenty years. My body has been my instrument all this time. I started out in the early nineties with the iconic images of Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell. We were the faces that graced every billboard, magazine cover, and runway show. Back then, we didn't have Instagram or social media to showcase our work like we do now. So you can imagine how hard it was to get noticed by top clients. I remember walking down the catwalk in my first big show in Milan for Gucci during the 94-95 fashion season, feeling so much pressure but also this sense of liberation that came from being in front of all these people. It's a rush like no other.
I have to admit, though, it got old quick – all the travel and constant scrutiny can really take a toll on your mental health if you're not careful. I began experimenting with other forms of expression to maintain my sanity: painting, dancing, and music were among them. The more I dabbled in these artistic pursuits, the clearer my vision became about what I wanted from life outside of modeling. That's when I started focusing on becoming a DJ – it was an outlet that allowed me to be myself without anyone judging me for who I am or how I looked.
I've been living in Ibiza for the past decade now and have found that this island gives you freedom like nowhere else can. It's where I first discovered my
