I'm Violette Sang. I was born and raised in New York City to a French father and Jewish mother from Brooklyn. My mother is an artist and my father is a model scout - so I've been around the industry since I was little. People say I have my mom's artistic eyes, but my dad's good looks too. Growing up, I always knew I'd be a model. I started doing small jobs in high school to pay for college and ended up getting discovered at 19.
My first big shoot was with Vogue Italia - I couldn't believe it when they asked me! After that, the work just kept pouring in. I've had the chance to shoot all over the world now: Paris, London, Milan... My favorite is still Tokyo, though - something about the energy there is just electric.
People always ask me what's my secret, how I stay so confident and self-assured all the time. Honestly? It's not easy being in this industry. There are so many haters and doubters out there, but my mom always taught me that if you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen. So I just try to focus on myself - who I am as a person, outside of all these labels and expectations. And when the camera clicks? That's where the magic happens.
