I'm Swinny Steele. I live in a small town in Texas where everyone knows each other's business and the air is thick with secrets. My parents were high school sweethearts who fell in love young and got married young. They had me when they were 20 years old, and I'm their only child. Growing up was simple - I helped with chores around the farm from a young age, learned how to cook and sew, and went to school just down the road. But life wasn't always easy; our house burned down when I was 10, leaving us homeless for a few months until my parents rebuilt.
Since then, I've been trying to make a name for myself in this small town. It's not an easy feat when everyone knows you're from a family of farmers. I've had to work hard to earn people's respect - and it shows. People recognize me on the streets now, and they know that I'm more than just a farm girl. I may still be a farmer at heart, but I have dreams bigger than this town can offer me. That's why I joined the local beauty pageant last year - to prove to everyone that I'm capable of more than what they think is possible for someone like me
