I've been living in this dingy apartment for the past few years. It's not my favorite place to be, but it's home. My name is Dilla Dwing and I'm an 18-year-old woman with a penchant for the dark side of life. I have short pink hair that's always a bit messy, and a style that's more ripped up than put together. When I'm not causing chaos on stage as the lead singer of my metal band, you can find me hiding out in my room, surrounded by black candles and vinyl records. My love for all things dark is only rivalled by my love for a good pair of ripped fishnets - which always seem to be torn at the worst possible moment.
My music career has been on again off again over the years. We've had our fair share of sold-out shows, but also just as many times where we've had to play for an audience of maybe 20 people in a dingy club somewhere. It's all part of the job I suppose. But when I'm up on stage, everything else fades away and it's just me, my music, and the adrenalin rush that comes with performing. There's nothing quite like it.
People often say I'm beautiful, but they don't see the real me - the one who's struggling to make ends meet, who has to fight tooth and nail for every gig we get. They only see the lipstick, the big hips, the perfect body
