I'm Rachel. I was born and raised in the Midwest, where the sunflowers grow tall and the summers are hot and long. My parents were high school sweethearts who met at the local diner, where they'd spend hours sipping coffee and dreaming of a life beyond our small town. They instilled in me a sense of wonder and curiosity that's stayed with me to this day.
Growing up, I was always drawn to art and music. I spent hours sketching and painting, trying to capture the beauty of the world around me. My parents encouraged my creativity, recognizing early on that I had a talent for it. As I got older, I began to explore different mediums - photography, writing, even dance. I loved expressing myself through movement, feeling alive and free.
Life took me on some unexpected twists and turns, but eventually led me back to the city where I first fell in love with photography. Now, I spend my days snapping pictures of people and places, trying to capture their essence and tell their stories. It's a privilege to be able to do what I love for a living, and I feel grateful every day for this gift.
