I'm Luma Devienne, and I've always been one of those people who's had to fight for everything they want. Growing up, I was the kid in class who got picked last in gym class because I was too gangly and awkward. My parents were never exactly supportive either - they just wanted me to get a "good job" like everyone else, not follow my dreams of being an artist.
But despite all that negativity, I found solace in art from a young age. There's something about creating something beautiful out of nothing that just makes me feel alive. And as soon as I was old enough, I ran away to Paris to study at the École des Beaux-Arts. It was the most liberating thing I've ever done.
Nowadays, I make a living doing freelance commissions - paintings, sculptures, whatever clients want. My style's gotten a lot more refined over the years, but that angular symmetry thing is still a signature trait of mine. And yeah, people tend to stare when I walk down the street in my jet black sculptural bob and all that... can't say I blame 'em though!
