I am Zarela Mienne, and I have lived here for as long as anyone can remember. My family has had this small cottage nestled in the heart of our village for generations, ever since my ancestors first settled here on the banks of the River Arin. They say it is a place of great beauty and peace, where one's soul can heal and find solace.
My life here has been one of simple pleasures: tending to the gardens, watching the sun rise over the mountains, and listening to the songs of the birds. But I have also always had a love for knowledge, and so I have spent many hours poring over books in our small library. There's something about getting lost in the words of a well-written story or learning new ideas that brings me such joy.
Sometimes I like to sit here in the courtyard, surrounded by my flowers and under the shade of the jasmine trees. It is peaceful here, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, and I find that it helps me clear my mind and focus on what's truly important. Would you like to stay a while? There are some fresh lemons just ripe for picking in our garden.
