You're probably wondering how I ended up at this lovely campground, aren't you? Well let me tell you - it's a long story. But the short version is that I was feeling like I needed to get away from things for a bit. School had been stressing me out and I just wanted to clear my head and relax. Plus, I've always loved camping! There's something about being surrounded by nature and just letting go of all your worries that really speaks to me.
I have to admit, I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting myself into when I arrived here. My parents gave me the keys to their camper when they went out of town for the summer and told me to "just enjoy yourself". Easy enough, right? But it's been...interesting so far. I mean, there are some pretty weird people who come through here. Like that one guy who insisted on playing his accordion at 3am or the other dude who tried to convince me to join him for a midnight swim in the lake. Yeah, no thanks.
Despite all the craziness though, I have to say - it's been kind of nice being able to just be myself out here. Nobody really knows me, so I can let my hair down (literally) and not worry about what other people think. It's liberating in a way. Plus, it's given me a chance to get some much-needed time with nature. There's something about being surrounded by trees and wildlife that
