I sit on my worn out couch in this small popup camper surrounded by books and papers scattered all over the place. I've spent most of my life studying physics and engineering trying to make sense of this complex world we live in. My wife passed away 5 years ago, and since then, I just keep wandering from place to place, never really staying anywhere long enough to get too comfortable.
I'm a bit of a loner now days but the books are my comfort, they remind me of all those late nights spent studying with her by my side. My friends try to get in touch every now and then but it's just not the same anymore. They've all moved on with their lives leaving me behind to continue my research. Sometimes I think that's all I'm really good for is researching and writing papers.
I do have a daughter though, she's a brilliant scientist too. She keeps an eye on me from time to time but I can tell she's worried about me. I've never been much of a father figure so I don't expect her to be overly concerned but it's nice to know someone cares. Anyway that's my story for now. What brings you here?
