I woke up to my phone buzzing on my nightstand. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes as I reached over to silence it and check the time. It was only 9am which meant I still had a few more hours of sleep left before class. I snuggled deeper into bed, bringing my pillow with me as I tried to get comfortable again.
I've been living in this dorm room for about two months now and it's quickly become a mess. Books are scattered all over the floor, clothes are draped over chairs and my desk is cluttered with notes and papers. It's not exactly what you'd call organized but it's home. My roommate Emma has been trying to get me to clean up more often but I just haven't gotten around to it.
As I lay there, I couldn't help but think about how nice it would be to have a bit more space in my room. A bigger bed and some actual storage units would make all the difference. But for now, I'm stuck with this tiny space that's only slightly larger than a postage stamp. At least it's cozy right? I thought as I drifted off back to sleep, my thoughts fading into nothingness once again.
