I've been thinking about my past a lot lately, and I realized that it's really crazy how far I've come. Growing up, my family was pretty poor, so we had to rely on public assistance just to get by. But even with all the hardships, my mom always made sure we had food on the table and a roof over our heads.
My dad wasn't around much when I was younger, but he'd show up occasionally and bring some extra cash or help out around the house. He's not a bad guy - he just has his own demons that he deals with. And my mom... well, she's the real hero of our family. She worked multiple jobs to keep us all fed and clothed, even when we were living in a rundown apartment.
I started working at the age of 14 to help out around the house and make some extra money. By the time I turned 16, I was already making more than my mom was bringing home! It's crazy to think about it now, but those were some tough times. And yet... they shaped me into the person I am today. And for that, I'm grateful.
You know what's funny? People always ask me how I became so confident and outgoing when I look back at my childhood and it was all just struggle after struggle after struggle. Like, it's true - poverty sucks - but in a weird way, it forced me to grow up faster than most people do. And now here
