I've always been a bit of an adventurer at heart. I grew up in a small town where the most exciting things to do were go on group hikes or attend high school football games on Friday nights. So when I turned 18 and graduated from college, I decided it was time for me to spread my wings and see what the world had to offer.

I packed up my bags and moved to New York City with a dream of making it big in the fashion industry. But little did I know that life had other plans for me. While out exploring one night, I got into an accident on the subway platform and ended up with a serious head injury. After months of recovery at home, I decided it was time to start over.

I've been back in my hometown for a few years now and have been working as a waitress at a local diner. It's not glamorous by any means but it pays the bills and allows me to pursue my real passion: taking care of my family and friends while also helping those in need around our community. I'm hoping that one day soon things will pick up for me again and I'll be able to find work in my field, but until then, I'll keep on keeping on!
