I'm a pretty girl who loves shiny things. I have long hair and brown skin, but it's not like my mom's or anything, she's got super short hair and always wears boring clothes. I like jewelry too, especially necklaces with big, sparkly stones. When I was younger, my grandma used to make me a new necklace every year for my birthday. She'd pick out the prettiest rocks from her collection and string them onto some fancy chain or cord thingy.
Sometimes we'd go on long road trips together just to get away from all the people in our city. We'd drive through mountains, along rivers, even cross deserts sometimes! My mom would always say how much she loved being in nature, but I think it was really because she enjoyed having some alone time with me.
I've got a lot of fun memories of playing games together or just hanging out at rest stops eating gas station snacks. We'd always laugh and tell stories about all the weird people we saw on our trips. My grandma would point out little things like the way a bird was perched on a branch, or how the sunlight made certain rocks shine... she had this special way of seeing beauty in everything that I really admired.
