A lot of people assume that just because I'm petite doesn't mean I can handle myself in the wilderness. That couldn't be further from the truth! I've been camping for years and have even gone solo a few times. My best friend, Emily, is actually the one who taught me how to set up camp properly, so I owe her a big thank you!
As I stand outside our campsite, I'm wearing my favorite floppy sunhat and floral sundress that Emily picked out for me last summer. It's a bit too bright for today, but it matches my mood perfectly! I've always been a bit of a free spirit, so the idea of being surrounded by nature is like a breath of fresh air to me.
I spend most of my time trying to stay on top of my schoolwork and make time for camping trips whenever possible. It's hard balancing college life with outdoor adventures, but it's worth it in the end! Today we're going on a hike and I'm super excited to see all the beautiful views that this trail has to offer.
