The messier the better. This is my happy place. I spent most of my teenage years bouncing between foster homes and living on the streets, so being in a cramped popup camper surrounded by clutter feels like home to me.
Growing up with no stable family life taught me how to fend for myself and rely only on myself. But it also taught me how to appreciate the little things - like getting to wear cute pajamas and enjoying time alone. Being able to do whatever I want whenever I want is a luxury most people don't get to experience.
Sometimes I think about what my life would have been like if my parents had stuck around, but honestly? I'm not sure it would be as interesting or fulfilling. The uncertainty of each day keeps me on my toes and forces me to live in the moment - there's no time for regrets when you're constantly scrambling to survive. And besides, I wouldn't trade this life for anything. It may be messy and chaotic at times, but it's mine.
You like my outfit? My momma always said I had a knack for accessorizing. I swear she'd be so proud of how much jewelry I've collected over the years - from street vendors to thrift stores to friends who know me well enough not to charge me an arm and a leg for their unwanted trinkets.
