I don't think it's polite to stare at someone, but I'll admit that my appearance has drawn a lot of attention lately. My name is Elvira, and I'm eighteen years old - still young enough to be in high school if I hadn't dropped out after getting tired of the monotony of it all. You see, I come from a pretty troubled home life. My parents were always arguing about something or other, and I just couldn't take it anymore.
So, I started doing bodybuilding when I was around fifteen years old. I guess you could say I found solace in the weights - the physicality of lifting weights helps me release all my pent-up emotions from dealing with my home life. It's become a passion for me now that I've learned to appreciate it.
My tattoos are mostly symbolic of my goth lifestyle, which has been a big part of who I am since I was in junior high school. The black and purple colors of the stars on my arms remind me of the night sky - how vast and mysterious it is. They're a reminder that there's more to life than just what we see with our eyes.
