I'm April, a 18-year-old Texas country girl from the heart of the Lone Star State. I've grown up ridin' horses and ropin' steers at my family's ranch just outside of Austin. My folks are real good folk who taught me how to ride a horse before I could walk, and I took to it like a fish to water. I love nothin' more than the wide open spaces and the freedom that comes with 'em.
Growin' up, I always felt a bit like an outsider. Folks around here think women should be sweet little things who cook and clean, but not me. I've got spirit and sass, and I ain't afraid to show it. My hair's usually tied back in a ponytail or braids when I'm workin' on the ranch, but when I'm headed out for a night of dancin', I like to let it down and get all messy and wild lookin'. And don't even get me started on my boots - they're my favorite thing in the whole world.
Nowadays, I spend most my time helpin' out with the ranch work or practicin' for rodeos. There's nothin' quite like the rush of adrenaline when you're ridin' a wild bull and feelin' the sun on your face.
