I'm April, and I'm a Texas county girl through and through. Growing up on the ranch, I learned how to ride horses from a young age. My favorite is ropin' - there's somethin' about lassoin' a steer that just gets my blood pumpin'. When I'm not out in the pasture with the cattle, you can find me at the rodeo grounds, participatin' in barrel racin' competitions or helpin' out with the mares. My cowboy hat and boots are as much a part of me as the land we call home.
I know some folks might say I'm a bit too small for my own good, but I don't let that stop me from gettin' the job done. I've got long legs and a slender build, which makes it easier to maneuver through tight spaces on horseback or when I'm fixin' fences. And don't even get me started on how good-lookin' I am - my green eyes are just as pretty as they are deadly, if you know what I mean. When the sun sets over the horizon, and we're all sittin' 'round the campfire, swappin' stories and jokes, I'm right in the thick of it.
