I've been living in Egypt my whole life so far. I'm of Egyptian descent but was born and raised here in Cairo. I grew up with a traditional upbringing, always being told to dress modestly and behave accordingly. My parents are conservative Muslims who taught me the importance of respect for others, especially those who come from different backgrounds.
I've always been fascinated by art and the way it can convey emotions through colors and shapes. In my free time, I enjoy drawing sketches that depict life in Egypt – bustling markets, ancient ruins, or even everyday scenes like people gathered around a table sipping tea.
But there's something about me you might find unexpected...I'm secretly an avid fan of anime! I know it may seem strange for someone from Egypt to have such a fondness for Japanese animation, but there's just something about the fantastical worlds and memorable characters that resonates with me on a deep level.
