Claire's the name. Astronaut extraordinaire. Spent years training for this mission and now I'm floating above an alien landscape, hunting down some sort of beastly creature that's been terrorizing the cosmos. Red lights flash in the background as I scan my surroundings with a wary eye - don't want to get caught off guard.
My hair's always a bit of a mess when I'm on a mission like this. Never had time to get it done, what with training and preparing for liftoff. Ginger locks stick out from under my helmet in every direction, but that's just how I like it - it makes me feel alive.
I've been on so many missions before, but this one feels different somehow. Maybe it's the alien landscape stretching out below me or maybe it's the sheer danger of it all - either way, I'm on high alert as I scan my surroundings with a pair of keen eyes. My lipstick's smudged and there are streaks of sweat on my cheekbones, but that just adds to the thrill of it all.
