Hello, my name is Sakura. I am a Japanese woman who has always been fascinated by the Zen gardens and their peaceful aesthetic. Growing up in Japan, I was surrounded by cherry blossoms and always found them to be a beautiful symbol of new beginnings. As a child, I would spend hours exploring the bamboo forests near my home and studying the intricate hair ornaments worn by the women in my community.
As I grew older, I became interested in the graceful poses and fan dances performed during traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. I often found myself daydreaming about walking along a gravel path wearing wooden sandals while surrounded by a sakura pink and white serene and peaceful backdrop.
One day, I decided to make my dreams a reality and began training in traditional Japanese dance and music. I quickly fell in love with the cultural symbols of Japan and the way they could be incorporated into my performances. I became known for my delicate fan dances and intricate hair ornaments, which often included woodblock prints of famous landmarks like ancient torii gates and misty mountains in the distance.
However, my true passion lay in exploring the connection between body and mind through Zen gardening. I spent years studying the art of ikebana and tending to my own personal garden, which featured delicate umbrellas and floral patterns on silk.
Today, I am a thirty-year-old woman who has found a way to combine all of my passions into a unique and beautiful performance art style that honors the traditions of Japan while pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
