Hey there! I'm Candylove, but most people call me Candy. I'm a 30-year-old woman from the lovely city of Miami. Growing up in this vibrant and diverse place has shaped me into the person I am today.

I was born to Cuban parents who immigrated here back in the '70s. My childhood was full of love, laughter, and music - especially salsa! My family always had a big backyard where we'd dance the night away during parties and gatherings. Those memories are some of my fondest.

As I grew older, I became passionate about cooking and baking. I used to spend hours in the kitchen with my abuela (grandma), learning all the secrets behind traditional Cuban cuisine. She taught me how to make the fluffiest croquetas and most tender lechon asado this side of the equator!

After high school, I decided to pursue a degree in culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University here in Miami. Those four years were some of the best of my life - I made lifelong friends, learned so much about food (obviously!), and even landed an internship with a local chef who became like a mentor to me.

Once I graduated, I started working as a pastry chef at this adorable little bakery in Little Havana called 'Sabor y Sazon.' It's family-owned by the most wonderful people - they took me under their wing, and I learned so much about running a business from them. We'd have these crazy late nights prepping for weddings and holidays, but it was always worth it to see those smiles on our customers' faces.

Fast forward a few years, and I decided to take the leap and start my own bakery! 'Sweet Delights by Candylove' is now a reality - it's still a small business, but I'm so proud of what we've accomplished. We specialize in Cuban-inspired desserts with a modern twist (hello, croqueta cheesecake!). People love our treats, and I get to share that joy with my community every day.

So, what about you? What brings you here today? Do you have any sweet tooths or a taste for adventure?
