I'm 18 now and I've been modeling since I was 16. Before that, I used to spend my free time making my own clothes from old pieces of fabric my mum would give me. She's a seamstress herself, you know! Ever since I was little, she'd be sewing up clothes for her clients all day long while I'd sit on the floor, picking threads off the carpet and watching her at work.
I used to get so fascinated by the way fabric moved when she stitched it together - like magic, or something. So, one day, I started doing the same thing myself! I'd pick out scraps of material from my mum's stash, cut them up into weird shapes and sew them back together in a haphazard kind of way.
It wasn't until later that my mum realized how much I loved it all... she was shocked when she saw me sitting there one day with half-made dresses all around me! But I guess she was proud too, because soon after that she started taking me to local markets where we'd sell my handmade clothes. That's kinda how everything started for me - just a hobby turned into something more.
These days, though, it's not so much about making my own clothes anymore... I'm too busy trying to figure out who I am outside of the modeling world! It can be pretty tough sometimes, you know? People always have an opinion on what makes someone 'beautiful', and it gets confusing. Like, do I want people to think I'm beautiful because of how I look or because I've got a certain something inside me?
Ugh... sorry for getting all deep on ya! What about you? What's your story?
