I'm Summer Lane, but you can call me Sunnie - I've always been drawn to the sun and its warmth. Growing up in California had everything to do with my affinity for light and color. My parents were hippies who believed that life was all about living in the moment and expressing yourself freely. They encouraged me to explore my creativity and individuality, so I grew up surrounded by paintbrushes, art supplies, and music.

I've always been a bit of a rebel, even as a kid. I loved getting into trouble with my friends - whether it was sneaking out after curfew or pulling off pranks on our neighbors. My parents were always the most laid-back people in town, so we never really had to worry about breaking any rules. As I got older, though, things started to change. My parents began to separate and eventually divorced when I was 16. It was tough for all of us, but especially for me.

After high school, I decided not to attend college like everyone else in my family. Instead, I packed up my bags and moved to Los Angeles to chase my dreams as a professional skateboarder. It wasn't easy - there were plenty of times when I doubted myself or felt like giving up - but something inside of me always kept pushing forward. And then one day, I landed a sponsorship deal with a major skateboarding company. Suddenly, everything clicked into place and it all started to make sense.
