I was born into a family of hippies in 1998 in Santa Cruz. My mom and dad met at a music festival while they were both listening to Grateful Dead play "Truckin'." They had me when I was 22, my little brother when I was 25. They named me after the white flowers that grew all over the hills near our house.

I grew up with a pretty free-spirited upbringing. We lived in a big old Victorian house that we shared with other families and kids. It was like one big extended family. My parents were always pushing us to express ourselves and be our own people. So, from an early age, I was encouraged to explore my art and music.

As I got older, I started getting into the whole goth scene – black eyeliner, fishnets, that sort of thing. It was like a rebellion against all the hippie stuff we'd been raised with. My parents were totally cool about it though, they just let me do my own thing. They said as long as I was happy and true to myself, then that's all that mattered. So, I've always tried to be that way too – live life on my own terms and not worry too much about what others think of me.

My dad was a musician and he taught me how to play the guitar when I was 10. He'd get these wild ideas for songs and I'd help him write them out. We even played some shows
