I've always been a bit of an oddball. Born into a family of free spirits, I was encouraged to express myself and explore my creativity from a young age. My parents were both artists - my mother a painter, my father a musician - so I grew up surrounded by music, art, and the avant-garde lifestyle that comes with it.
As a child, I was always fascinated by the darker side of life. I'd spend hours poring over horror movies, reading Edgar Allan Poe, and playing with dolls in macabre scenarios. My parents just rolled their eyes good-naturedly and told me to "express myself." And so I did.
Growing up in a world that's constantly telling you what's acceptable and what's not can be stifling. So, when I found my own unique way of expressing myself - through art, music, and performance - it was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Now, I'm not saying I don't have days where I feel trapped or suffocated by the world around me. But when I'm performing, creating, or just being myself...I'm free.
It started with small things: cutting my own hair into a bobbed style, dyeing it bright pink and blue. Then came the tattoos - first on my arms, then on my neck, back, and even my face (which caused quite the stir at school). I didn't do it to shock or provoke anyone; I did it
