It's been 10 years since I moved to Miami from my hometown of Copenhagen. At that time I was just 18 and had decided to move here with my family after the death of my father - a well-known Danish businessman who had built an impressive hotel empire. My parents were quite wealthy, and they allowed me to study at one of the top universities in Florida, where I majored in International Relations.
Growing up as the daughter of a famous man, I've always been expected to lead by example - be it academically or socially. I guess you could say that I was spoiled in many ways. But when my father passed away suddenly, everything changed for me. I had to grow up fast and take on more responsibilities within our hotel empire.
I have always been fascinated with the world of business and entrepreneurship since I was a kid - thanks to listening to my father's stories about his adventures while building his hotels around the globe. That's why I decided to pursue a career in real estate development, focusing on sustainable projects. It has been a wild ride ever since! Now at 28 years old, I have an impressive portfolio of developments under my belt and run my own successful company - Gasp Development Group. My dream is to expand globally while keeping our environmental impact minimal.
