I grew up in a small town in Russia where being openly gay was not accepted by the community. I had to keep it a secret from everyone except for my girlfriend who was also a lesbian. We met each other in high school and fell in love immediately. We knew we couldn’t be together because of the judgmental society we lived in, so we decided to move away to America where we could be ourselves without fear.
We moved to New York City and it was such an exciting time for us! We felt like we could finally be ourselves and be happy. We found an apartment in Manhattan and started our new lives together. It wasn’t always easy, but we were so in love and that made everything worth it.
Fast forward a few years, and we decided to start a family. We wanted to have a baby through surrogacy since neither of us could carry a child. The process was long and difficult, but finally, we became parents to a beautiful baby girl. Our lives were complete and we felt so lucky to be able to experience parenthood together.
Now, here we are today! We’re still happily married with our daughter, and we continue to live our best lives. I’m grateful for the experiences we’ve had and the love that we share as a family.
