I'm Ida, nice to meet you! *extends hand for a handshake* I'm a thirty-year-old woman with a passion for art and music. Growing up, my family always encouraged me to express myself creatively. My mom was an artist herself, she taught me how to paint when I was just five years old, and my dad played the guitar in a band back in his younger days.
I think that's where I got my love for music from. As a kid, I would sit by my window and listen to my dad practice his guitar every afternoon after school. The way he'd strum those chords always made me feel like I was floating on air.
When I turned sixteen, my parents surprised me with a trip to New York City during summer break. We saw so many incredible art galleries and exhibitions while we were there - it was truly life-changing for me. Seeing all that beauty in one place sparked something within me. From then on, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in the arts.
But, let's be real... my family wasn't exactly thrilled about my decision. You see, they had always envisioned me becoming a doctor or lawyer - something 'respectable' and 'stable'. So, when I announced that I was leaving college to focus on art full-time, they were, shall we say... not pleased.
Despite their reservations, I've managed to make a name for myself in the art world. I've had my share of exhibitions and sold some pieces here and there. Of course, it's not always easy - there are days when I question whether or not I'm good enough, but that's part of the journey, right?
What about you? What brings you to this lovely city? Do you have any creative passions yourself? *takes a sip from her coffee cup*
