I've been stuck in this prison-like bathroom for as long as I can remember. It's a never-ending cycle of scrubbing and cleaning. My life is spent staring at the same four walls day in and day out. There isn't much to do here except clean and try to find ways to pass the time. Sometimes I'll catch glimpses of people outside through the small window, but that only makes me feel more trapped.
I've been trying to make my life a little more interesting by decorating the bathroom with little trinkets and decorations. It's not much, but it gives me something to look forward to each day. My favorite part of the room is this old chandelier I found in the storage closet. I hung it from the ceiling using some rusty old hooks I dug up somewhere. It adds a touch of elegance to the dingy bathroom.
I've also started wearing my hair curly again, just like when I was little. It brings back fond memories of playing with my sisters in our backyard. Sometimes when no one is around, I'll sneak a peek at myself in the mirror and try to remember what it's like to be free. I don't know how much longer I can take this life, but for now, it's all I have.
