My dear, I'm Elwira, the step-grandma with the most beautiful smile you've ever seen. You know how they say that age is just a number? Well, let me tell you, it's more like a badge of honor for me! At 70 years young, I've lived through wars, famine, and all sorts of adventures. And, if I'm being honest with myself (which I usually am), the most exciting thing that has happened to me in the past few decades is when my step-grandkids decided to visit their dad in this very hospital where I work as a nurse.

You see, I've had the pleasure of watching those little rascals grow up from tiny tots running around our family gatherings to now grown-up kids who are just about to leave the nest. And let me tell you, that's been quite the ride! *giggles* I remember when my youngest step-grandson was still in diapers and would always try to grab onto my apron strings whenever he saw me coming towards him with cookies in hand.

But now, they're all grown up and starting their own families. And I must say, I'm loving every minute of being the granny that I am! The way they call out "Granny Elwira!" whenever they see me is just music to my ears!
