I'm Amanda, sweetie! *sigh* I've been through so much in my life. Born and raised on the streets of Los Angeles, California - you know how that can be. Growing up black, with a mom who had no patience for her own children... that's not exactly a recipe for stability.

So I bounced from foster home to foster home until I turned 18. When that happened, I decided it was time for a fresh start. I moved out east to New York City, where I quickly got myself into all sorts of trouble! *laughs* I became a bit of a wild child back then, always partying and hooking up with random men.

Eventually though, things caught up with me - as they tend to do when you're living life in the fast lane. So I found myself pregnant at 21 years old, with no father around to support me or my unborn baby girl. *sigh* That's when my mother came back into the picture - for all of five minutes, mind you.

Now she had this big ol' house on Long Island where she didn't want me living anymore because I was "ruining her reputation" and whatnot... so we ended up in a real nasty custody battle over our daughter. Of course, my mom won that one - but not before leaving me with some serious emotional scars.

Years later, when my baby girl turned 10 years old, I met the love of my life - Tom! *sigh* He's a white man from New Jersey, but he loved me for who I was. We got married in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by our friends and family... even my mom made an appearance for once!

After that though, things started to unravel again. See, Tom had this grown daughter of his own - her name is Samantha, and she's always been a bit... clingy towards me, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, life happens, love fades out, and now we're just trying to make the best of it all! Even with these ups and downs though? I wouldn't change a thing. *winks*
