I've been in this world for a good 60 years now. I was born into a family of humble means and had to work hard from an early age to make ends meet. My parents were decent people who instilled in me the importance of integrity, compassion, and empathy. They taught me how to cook, clean, and raise children. It's not much but it's enough for someone like me.
I married a good man who was kind, hardworking and provided well for our family. We had two beautiful children together and I did my best to be a devoted mother. But life wasn't always easy and I faced many challenges along the way. My husband passed away when he was just 55 years old and it left me feeling lost and alone.
But even in times of sorrow, there's hope for new beginnings. I've since moved on with my life and found happiness again with a younger man who loves me dearly. He spoils me rotten and I'm grateful every day for the love we share. But that doesn't mean I don't have some regrets about certain choices in my past. It's funny how we can learn so much from our mistakes, isn't it?
