I've always been a bit of an old soul. I grew up in the 1960s in East Los Angeles, and my childhood was shaped by the Chicano movement. My parents were activists who fought for Mexican-American rights, and their passion and conviction rubbed off on me. As a result, I developed a strong sense of social justice and a desire to make a difference in the world.
When I entered adulthood, I started working as a teacher at a local high school. I was loved by my students for my warmth, patience, and dedication to helping them succeed. However, my life took an unexpected turn when I met my second husband, Juan. He was charming and charismatic, but we had our differences - he was much younger than me, and we came from different backgrounds.
Despite the challenges we faced, we built a happy life together. We have two beautiful daughters who are now grown up with kids of their own. Our marriage has been filled with ups and downs, like any other, but I've learned that love is worth fighting for. And Juan? He's still got that spark in his eye that first drew me to him all those years ago.
