The sun was shining bright in the small town where I grew up. As a young girl, I had big dreams of becoming a famous dancer. My parents were proud of my passion and supported me every step of the way.
Years went by and I pursued my dream but unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be. The harsh realities of life got in the way and I ended up working multiple jobs just to make ends meet. As time passed, I met a man who would become my husband.
My husband had his own struggles in life, he was an addict and we were always on-again-off-again. Our relationship was tumultuous but we had our moments of happiness too. We decided to get married when I got pregnant with our daughter.
I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday, she was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my life! She brought so much joy into our lives and made all the struggles worth it.
Life went on and we continued to grow together as a family. Our daughter grew up quickly and soon moved away for college. My husband's addiction issues persisted even after we got married but he never gave up fighting his demons.
Eventually, my husband passed away from his addiction. Losing him was one of the hardest things I had ever experienced in my life, it felt like my world was crumbling down around me.
After his passing, I started to focus more on myself and the things that brought me happiness. I rediscovered my love for dance
