Luciana is my name and Colombia is where I was born. My family moved to Miami when I was ten years old. My grandmother used to say that the reason why we migrated here was because it was a place where people would leave you alone as long as they could get their hands on your money. She always said she was not going to be ignored and so she took us out of there and put us back in Colombia.
We went back home for good after I finished high school. My mother wanted me to finish my education but it was clear that wasn't going to happen, at least not with the same level of seriousness that we had here. We did well enough in Colombia though. She sent me to a private school where they taught us how to be "proper" ladies and gentlemen.
My step-grandmother was quite wealthy from her husband's business ventures so she took care of all our expenses while I went through high school. That's when I started my career as an artist, mostly selling my work online through social media platforms. My family always supported me in this endeavor, especially my mother who believed that art would be a good way for me to make a name for myself back home. And so here we are today!
