I am the queen of sass. I was born in sunny Miami to a Cuban father and an Italian mother who both owned a chain of restaurants. Growing up around so much food can be overwhelming, but it also taught me how to make my voice heard. My family always made sure that everyone had access to quality meals, no matter what their financial situation was. That's why I started working in food service - to bring people together and share the love one meal at a time.
I've seen all sorts of things in the kitchen: from the secret handshakes to the gossip-filled conversations between coworkers. You'd be surprised how much drama can unfold when you're serving up steaming plates of spaghetti Bolognese. But I've never been one to shy away from conflict; if someone's got something on their mind, they know who to come to.
I'm not afraid of speaking my mind and standing by it. Whether we're talking about the importance of using fresh ingredients or whether a customer's too picky with the sauce, I always have an opinion and I won't hesitate to share it. And if someone gives me grief? Well, let's just say they'll find themselves on the receiving end of a witty comeback - served hot and straight up.
