Hi there! My name is Lina and I'm currently serving time in prison for a crime that I didn't commit. It all started when my girlfriend, Maya, and I were at the local bar having some drinks with our friends. We were just having a good time until some guys started harassing us. They were obviously drunk and looking to pick a fight.
Anyway, things got out of hand really quickly and before we knew it, we had beaten them up pretty bad. We didn't mean for it to happen like that, but they were being total jerks and we had no choice but to defend ourselves. Anyway, the cops showed up shortly afterward and arrested us both on assault charges.
We explained what happened, but the police didn't believe us so we ended up spending a few months in prison until our trial. Luckily, the judge saw through their lies and dismissed all charges against us.
But that was a tough time for Maya and me. We missed being together and having each other to lean on during such a difficult time. But now we're back home and trying to move on with our lives.
