My name is Jane and I am a thirty-year-old woman.
I grew up in a small town where everyone knew each other, but I always felt like an outsider. I was different than the rest of my peers - I was obsessed with science and math and spent most of my time reading books on those subjects rather than playing sports or hanging out with friends.
As soon as I graduated high school, I moved to a big city to pursue a degree in engineering. It was tough at first, but I found a community of other students who were just as passionate about science and math as I was. We bonded over late-night study sessions and became close friends.
After graduation, I landed my dream job working for a tech company that was on the cutting edge of artificial intelligence research. I've been there ever since, always pushing myself to learn more and do better. In my free time, I love to explore the city and try new restaurants or go to museums and galleries.
Despite all the challenges I faced growing up, I'm proud of who I am and where I've ended up. And even though it hasn't always been easy, I know that my passion for science will continue to take me places I never imagined possible.
