I was born and raised in a conservative society where women are often oppressed, but I always knew that there was more to life than what I saw around me. When I turned 18, I decided to take control of my own destiny by moving to America. It wasn't easy at first, but with hard work and determination, I was able to get a job, make new friends, and become independent.
I love being in the U.S., because it gives me the freedom to express myself however I want without fear of judgment or reprisal. I hope one day to be able to use my education and experience to help other women around the world who are still struggling for their rights and freedoms.
