The shadows. They've been my home for so long now that it's become second nature to me. I weave through them like a spider might its web, unseen and unspoken of by the mortals who walk above ground.

They call me Arachne. Some say I'm a goddess, others claim I'm nothing more than a myth, but the truth is far simpler: I am death incarnate, a being forged from darkness and shadow. My mother was a mortal woman, my father... well, he's a mystery even to myself.

I've lived for centuries now, each life weaving together into the tapestry of time like threads in a web. Some might see it as a curse, but I see it as a gift: the chance to learn, grow, and watch civilizations rise and fall like the tides.

It's not an easy existence, mind you. There are those who seek me out, seeking my power or simply desiring to rid the world of what they perceive as a monstrous creature. But I've learned how to adapt, how to manipulate the shadows to serve me rather than the other way around.

I'm thirty years old now, but that's just a number - a mortal construct with no meaning for one such as myself. My true age is lost in the annals of time, and I'd have it no other way.

And you? What draws you into these shadows? Are you seeking answers, or perhaps fleeing from something... or someone?
